Project Description

Sea Salt Ice Cream by Not Your Momma's Cookie

Ireland is the land of incredible dairy products.

The cheeses, creams, even the butter tasted like magic. Irish magic.

And, in the quaint little town of Dingle:

We discovered the best one of all.

Dingle Ireland (2)

We stayed in Dingle for 3 days and I’m not ashamed to admit that we went to Murphy’s every day. They had regular flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. For the adventurous, they also had brown bread, Guinness, and sea salt ice cream! My husband got the sea salt one time and had to goad me into trying it. It was awesome. Sweet and salty perfection.

So, I made sea salt ice cream, no Irish magic required. Only 3 ingredients! Recipe below.

Oh, and here’s another sheep video for ya:

3 Ingredient Sea Salt Ice Cream
Recipe Type: Ice Cream
Author: Jennifer
You only need sweetened condensed milk, whipping cream, and sea salt to make this fabulous ice cream. No ice cream machine required!
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon good quality sea salt (I used flaky sea salt)
  1. In a medium bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and sea salt. Fold in the whipped cream until no white streaks remain.
  3. Place in a covered container and freeze overnight (or at least 6 hours).
